The Covid-19 crisis has drastically impacted the lives of people around the world and put our communities under enormous pressure. In these times, more than ever it is necessary that we exchange information and experiences across borders. But we also need to stay vigilant, develop appropriate measures and competences and support each other.

This is why we would like to extend an open invite to our Democracy-Jam, exchanging experiences with the effects of the Corona-crisis on our democracies from around the world.

The meeting will take place online, via Zoom on Tuesday 21 April, at 16h00 CET

Since the beginning of March, democracy developers have been discussing a democracy policy agenda resulting from this crisis.

One result of this exchange is, the establishment of an international democracy monitor, on which current democracy restrictions are collected. Which we will present to you during the call and for which we would love to have your assistance.

  • OUTCOMES
    A Democracy-Jam entails that all of the participants bring in their own experience.
    At the end the participants arrive at a common perspective and decide on points of action.
    The Democracy in times of Corona- session will be moderated by Dr Raban Fuhrmann of the Academy for a Learning Democracy and Democracy International.
