Voting Sunday 25 September 2022
The Swiss elect their representatives in regularly held elections, but they are also directly involved in the business of law- and constitution-making. Four times a year Swiss citizens are invited to vote on factual questions put on the ballot as a result of a popular initiative, proposed by citizens, or of a referendum, a check on a law already passed by the legislature.
Whilst you are attending this very Global Forum on Modern Direct Democracy, the Swiss electorate are getting ready to cast their vote on Sunday 25th September on national, cantonal and local questions.
