Easy ways to get around Mexico City

On Forum days, transportation to and from the Forum venues will be provided from the Forum hotels. If you count on joining the conference later or will be staying in another area of Mexico City, there are a number of transportation options available to you.

  1. The best and safest way to get around is Uber or DiDi ride-sharing apps. The drivers are polite and often helpful, however many of them may not speak English – this can be considered the safest way to travel because the rides are traceable. Find more safety tips here.
  2. Metro Bus
  3. Metro subway – from as little as $0.25 it has 195 stations, and the trains arrive every two to three minutes during rush hour. The subway has women-only carriages, which we would recommend female travelers make use of.
  4. Mexico City is also a walkable city which is relatively easy to navigate within the central neighborhoods. However, for longer distances it is necessary to take transportation. On Friday and Saturday, we will convene in venues that are less central and which cannot be reached on foot from the city centre.

You can install the app CDMX on your phone to call taxis, check public transportation and explore events.
