Two late April events in neighbouring German cities examine democracy from Brazil to Ecuador.
A terrific event, with film, music, discussion and exchange is happening twice later this month in neighboring German cities.
"People. Power. Planet: Lessons from Latin America" will "explore how grassroots movements across Latin America are fighting for climate justice and democratic participation. Through films and discussions, we will hear stories from Brazil and Ecuador, where citizens are challenging extractivism and demanding a voice in shaping their future."
Democracy Local's partner and sponsor Democracy International is co-organising events with Leerstand als Begegnungsraum: in Bonn on April 22 and in Cologne on April 29.
