  • Borders are closed until 30 April, 2020 (Entry only exceptional and inkl. 14-Day quarantine)
  • Entry only be granted to Cypriot citizens, legal residents, European or third-country nationals working in Cyprus and a number of exceptional cases
  • Passengers arriving must be in possession of a recent medical certificate
  • 4 of 7 crossings to Nothern Cyprus were closed
  • Curfew from 9 pm to 6 am

   4 May:

  • restrictions are partially lifting, while the lockdown will be fully eased 21 May.
  • The curfew will last until restrictions on movement are completely lifted, 21 May.

26 May:

  • Decree on flights has been renewed for another eleven days as of May 29

29 May:

  • Hospitality establishments to reopen by June 1 and international air travel to resume by June 9

5 June:

  • Movement between the Republic of Cyprus and Northern Cyprus has been granted again to certain groups of people

9 July:

  • Maximum number of persons at gatherings was increased

  • Turkish Cypriot leadership election postponed (originally planned for 26 April 2020, moved to 11 October 2020)

  • Public gatherings are prohibited, all events incl. demonstrations are banned
