  • Closure of all land, sea and air borders for the transit of foreign persons.
  • The only institution authorized to provide results of the COVID-19 tests is the National Health Institute (INS). These tests are free of charge. No clinic can perform the tests.
  • Classes are suspended from public and private educational institutions in the country.
  • Suspension of universities and colleges.
  • They dictate temporary protection measures in favour of older adults at risk of coronavirus.
  • Declaration of state of emergency and obligatory social isolation until April 12. This measure is an extension of the declaration of emergency that took effect on Monday, April 16.
  • As of March 31, the hours of obligatory social isolation or curfew will be extended from 6:00 pm. to 5:00 am. In the case of the regions of Tumbes, Piura, Lambayeque, La Libertad, and Loreto, the schedule will begin at 4:00 pm. This is an extension of the curfew that began on March 18.
  • Divided transit regime is implemented. Men may circulate on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, while women will circulate on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, only from 5:00 am to 6:00 pm.
In May, the government announced the easing of some restrictions on business activities (mining, construction, commerce, tourism).
 
22 May:
 
  • The government has extended its state of emergency and nationwide lockdown until the end of June
  • Restrictions on sports are to be relaxed, as professional soccer will resume without an audience

27 June:

  • Peru to lift some lockdown measures but keep borders closed

1 July:

  • Peru entered the final stage of its economic reopening

  • Unclear - Art 7 . 5 says: "7.5 In addition, parades, parties, employers, civil and religious activities, as well as any other type of meeting that could jeopardize the public health."

16 March:

  • Local municipal elections in Chipao, Ayacucho district have been postponed

  • 380 soles (US$105) will be given to each family living in the informal sector in order to cushion their losses during the quarantine.
  • Employers will be able to change the working mode of their employees: teleworking, compensation, etc.
  • The Ministry of the Economy transfers 3,446,501 soles to the Ministry of Women and Vulnerable Populations to provide temporary housing for street people
  • Workers can withdraw up to 2,400 soles (US$702) from the amount of the Service Time Compensation (CTS).
  • A total of 800,000 independent workers will be given 380 soles ($105).

  • Workers' contributions to the Private Pension Fund Administrators (AFP) for April of this year will be temporarily suspended.
  • An emergency decree was approved to transfer 200 million soles (US$ 58,479,532), which will be distributed among the 1,874 municipalities so that they can acquire and distribute basic necessities.
