  • One may only leave the respective place of residence if one has a written permission from the respective municipal administration. At all exit roads, the police check extremely meticulously whether appropriate permits are available.
  • All public transportation services, including transport by tram, international public passenger transport by road, passenger transport by rail, city public transportation, and other types of public transportation are closed from March 22 for 30 days. All railway and bus stations will be closed.

 

   18 April:

  • lockdown extended until 4 May.

   23 April:

  • the government announced a plan for easing the restrictions. From 11 May transportation and movement within the country is allowed.

21 May:

  • Prime Minister Plenkovic encouraged parents to let their children go back to school

22 May:

  • As of May 28 tourist will be able to fill out an online application to cross the border

1 June:

  • Most European flight connections will open on June 15

11 July:

  • New border guidelines were introduced, including mandatory self-quarantine for certain groups
  • New guidelines for events were published
Limitations to electoral rights

   18 May:

  • The parliament has been dissolved and the president will soon announce the date for the elections (probably June/July).

20 May:

  • President Milanovic called for elections to be held on July 5

7 June:

  • Croatian citizens in Canada will not be able to vote in July's parliamentary elections, as the Croatian embassy in Canada will not be able to organize them

  • The government has initiated amendments to the Electronic Communications Act enabling the legal use of monitoring of mobile data.
  • Due to the opposition's disagreement, the process is still underway and its result still uncertain.

  • The government handed over control to the Civil Protection Directorate, therefore completely bypassing any political influence
