HISTORY

The mission of the Portuguese Institute of Sport and Youth, P.I. is to implement an integrated and decentralized policy for the areas of sport and youth, in close collaboration with public and private entities, namely with sports bodies, youth and student associations and local authorities.
The Portuguese Institute for Sport and Youth aims to boost support for associations, volunteer work and promotion of citizenship, occupation of free time, non-formal education and information.
