I am a Democracy International board member, and serve as co-president of the Global Forum on Modern Direct Democracy. I am a journalist in LA, working as an editor and columnist Zocalo Public Square, a media nonprofit that is a creative center of Arizona State University. The focus of my work is California--for Zocalo, I write the state's leading syndicated column on California--and I connect to the subject of direct democracy in the California context.
