I am part of the Bertelsmann Stiftung's project "Democracy and Participation in Europe" aiming to strengthen both conventional and new forms of citizen participation at the EU level. I am particularly interested in deliberative participation forms and how such forms can be institutionalised and combined with direct or representative democratic structures.
