After fourteen years, the Global Forum on Modern Direct Democracy is returning to Switzerland! The City of Lucerne, together with the Swiss Democracy Foundation and Democracy International, is inviting you to a fascinating Global Forum week.
At the Global Forum we'll look backwards at how citizens' initiatives and referendums have developed and work in the world’s most advanced direct democracy, but we will also look forward at the future of youth participation, hybrid instruments of participatory and direct democracy and direct democracy to combat the climate crisis.
