“What is a Good Job Now?" For the Formerly Incarcerated on Wednesday, January 24 at 7 pm PST at the ASU California Center in Downtown LA and streaming live on YouTube.
The discussion will be moderated by the Director of Strategic Reentry Initiatives for Mayor Karen Bass’ Office, Gilbert Johnson. Panelists include Doug Bond, President and CEO of the Amity Foundation, Carmen Garcia, Executive Director of Root & Rebound, and Sam Lewis, Executive Director of the Anti-Recidivism Coalition, who will discuss how to build better career pathways for formerly incarcerated people. There will be a reception after the discussion for our in-person audience, with complimentary food and beverages.
This is the fourth program in our series “What Is a Good Job Now?,” supported by The James Irvine Foundation, focusing on workers in the low-wage sectors of California’s economy in communities across the state.
