Join us from October 13–19, 2025, in Eisenach, Germany, for the 3rd annual Forum of the Student Network on Future Democracy (SNFD)! This year’s theme is Electoral Integrity, with a special focus on Eastern Europe and the influence of social media.
We invite university students to our Forum, where they will take part in expert workshops, interactive sessions, and the collaborative writing of a Declaration on strengthening election integrity. The Forum is guided by SNFD, with organization supported by the Gesellschaft zur Erforschung der Demokratiegeschichte e.V.
After the Forum, participants will have the opportunity to join SNFD, gaining experience in organizing and participating in democracy-related events, journalism, social media work, and international project management.

ORGANISERS
The Student Network on Future Democracy (SNFD) is an international network of university students passionate about democracy, elections, journalism, and civic engagement. SNFD members organize and participate in democracy-related events, produce social media and journalism projects, and gain valuable experience in international project work and public debate.
The Society for the Study of the History of Democracy (GEDG) is a non-profit association founded in 2021, based in Mainz and Weimar. GEDG combines academic research and civic engagement to study and communicate the history of democracy in Germany and beyond. Through publications, conferences, exhibitions, student forums, and public initiatives like the Wartburg Festival of Democracy, GEDG strengthens democratic memory culture and promotes a resilient, pluralistic society.
