The Corona virus crisis has touched all aspects of our lives, the Global Forum on Modern Direct Democracy is no exception to this. This is why the in-person Global Forum in Bern will not take place this year, but next spring.

 

So we're taking the Global Forum online!

Instead of an in-person event, this year we will hold the very first Online Forum on Modern Direct Democracy! The Forum is free to attend and open to all, as always. And this year, there won't even be a need for you travel long distances, you can participate in the Forum from the comfort of your own home!

 

The Online Forum on Modern Direct Democracy will take place from 21 – 29  September 2020 on Zoom.

 

Throughout a range of panels, webinars and hands-on workshops we will look the state of direct democracy in the world today.

 

The Online Forum will offer 4 thematic tracks:

•           Climate, sustainability and direct democracy

•           Swiss direct democracy in practice

•           The future of democracy

•           Democracy in crisis
